BERND VOSS is one of the most requested
german studio musicians, a man with a profound background both in pop
and classical music. He has made his mark not only through his
session work for the likes of Dionne Warwick, Bonnie Tyler, Umberto
Tozzi and others, but also as a member of Germany´s distinguished
fusion band CODERA.
The guitar style of VOSS has been
influenced by Mark Knopfler, George Benson, Eric Clapton, Robben Ford
and Larry Carlton, but the man from Bremen is far to talented and
musically ambitious to merely copy or emulate other peole´s
achievements. So the music VOSS offers now is delivered with an
unmistakable very personal touch and on a level with the likes of Joe
Satriani or Hiram Bullock, modern guitar music de luxe.
Whilst still studying at the
Konservatorium Bremen and the Musikhochschule Hamburg VOSS was at the
tender age of 17 already getting studio work at radio stations in
Northern Germany. Today VOSS is a much sought after guitar player
both in the studio and on stage with major international recording
artists such as Dionne Warwick, Bonnie Tyler, Errol Brown, Umberto
Tozzi as well as the Rundfunksinfonieorchester des NDR and a great
many renowned German artists.
Although popular and classical music
take up most of his professional time VOSS has always managed to fit
in - what for him has become an essential vent for creativity -
Instrumental Music. With a number of highly regarded instrumental
projects behind him (CODERA, DECEBAL BALIDA, CHRISTOPHER DEAN, DAVID
SCOTT). In his 15 years in
Andalucía, the cradle of Flamenco, he has been recording with the
most successful artists of Nuevo Flamenco like: Miguel Rios, Luis Fonsi, Valderrama, Maria
Jimenez, Jose el Frances, Ecos del Rocío, Los del Río, Alba Molina,
Papa Levante, Soles....and has been playing TV Shows like "El
Programa De Carlos Herrera" for TVE y "Contigo" for
Canal Sur and Andalucía TV. Recently he has been arranging and
producing for new spanish artists like FERNANDO ARDUAN, ALEX ORTIZ
and ROBIN.
